McLaren MP4-12C vs. Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Lamborghini Gallardo, Audi R8 V10 and Mercedes SLS AMG road course laptime comparison
This is a dream comparison. Car Magazine took the new McLaren MP4-12C out on the road course with Ben Collins (ex-Stig) against some of the best sports cars out there to see which would lap the fastest. The result is somewhat surprising and we will not spoil it for you, watch it. We also want to commnend Car on doing a proper comparison with a VBOX and laptimes unlike some of the other Brits (*cough* Autocar *cough*).

Brabus 800 Coupe Based on Mercedes-Benz CL 600 Revealed at Dubai International Motor Show
Brabus has introduced their 800 horsepower coupe based on Mercedes-Benz CL 600 at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show. So-called Brabus 800 Coupe, comes with a white dress — really unusual from the Germans — and a total output of 800HP and 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft) of torque, claimed by the tuner as the world’s fastest and most powerful luxury coupe.
It starts with a turning the CL 600′s 12-cylinder 5.5 liter unit into one displacing 6.3 liters. Then continues with the adding of a new crankshaft with a longer stroke, a larger cylinder bore and larger forged pistons, plus the replacement of the stock’s twin-turbo system with Brabus own serious power figures. Combined to a five-speed automatic, Brabus 800 Coupe gets an electronically-limited top speed of 350 km/h (217-mph), 3.9 second sprint time for 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) range, and to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.3 seconds.
And the styling package, as we said earlier, we always seeing Brabus’ masterpieces came with black paint job, but not this, the tuner wraps the whole car with white — looks like especially developed to satisfy those Middle East people who really love white cars. Outside, there’s an aero kit combined to 21-inch wheels and a lowering system that brings the car 25 mm closer to the road. While on inside, Brabus gives white leather and black Alcantara combination with contrasting diamond stitching. Mated to carbon fiber trims, matte surfaces in checkered flag design, aluminum pedals and a sport steering.
Look closer the white Brabus 800 Coupe through gallery below, and don’t forget to get back here to share your thoughts. Enjoy.
