A Slovenian new brand, Shayton plans to build a supercar called “Equilibrium”. The name Shayton means “falcon” in Sioux Indian, one of the most feared birds of prey that is also the company’s logo. It is one that would “sweep the competition”, as its overly optimistic press release reads. The aggressive lines of the Equilibrium are the work of local designer Andrej Stanta.
Shayton trying to make like in the world of extreme supercars, names like Bugatti, Koenigsegg or Pagani are instantly recognized and respected. The Equilibrium and will have a price tag of over €1,000,000 ($1.39 million). The Slovenian Zonda-wannabe will be powered by a V12 engine capable of 1,084 horsepower and 930 Nm of torque (686 lb-ft) at 5,000 rpm.
Thanks to the extensive use of aluminium, carbon fiber and titanium, the car is said to have a dry weight of 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) and a power-to-weight ratio of 1.42 kg/hp. In theory, reckons the Shayton Equilibrium should be able to reach a top speed of over 400 km/h (249 mph) and cover the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and to 200 km/h in only 8.5 seconds.
